How are funds selected to be included on the Global Impact Ventures Platform (the Platform)?

The Platform provides Donor Advisors access, through their Giving Funds, to private placement debt and equity options that channel capital to important social causes. Investment options are considered for inclusion on the Platform based on their mission focus and social impact potential. Options under consideration are presented to an investment panel of industry professionals who make the final determination of authorization for inclusion on the Platform. What’s the minimum account balance needed to participate in the Platform?

The minimum investment in any fund on the Platform is $25,000. However, accounts will need to maintain an adequate balance, in addition to the assets invested in the Platform, to meet minimum grant making requirements and pay administrative fees. The additional balance required will be determined on an account-by-account basis and will vary depending on the account size, the terms of the investment mix chosen and individual Donor Advisor grant-making plans.

Can a Donor Advisor recommend grants while invested in the Platform?

Grant recommendations cannot be made from assets that are invested in Platform options. Assets invested in these options are committed for a predetermined period of time and cannot be redeemed early. However, Donor Advisors will be able to continue to make grant recommendations from those account assets invested in the standard socially responsible mutual funds or the Community Investment Note.

How often can I allocate assets to the Platform?

Donor Advisors can make decisions to commit assets in their account to Platform investment options at any time. Once a Donor Advisor makes an investment recommendation, the full balance of the committed assets will be allocated to the investment option and will no longer be available for grantmaking until the end of the investment term.

Are there additional fees associated with the Platform?

In addition to the standard administrative fees charged to all Giving Funds, accounts participating in the Platform will be charged a fee as follows for that portion of participating assets:

First $100,000 of Platform assets	0.80%
Next $100,000 of Platform assets	0.60%
Balance above $200,000	0.40%
